Preschool Partners Ground Breaking
Preschool Partners staff, board members and campaign leadership break ground for the new Preschool Partners building on Montevallo Road.
Preschool Partners broke ground for a building of its own on March 12. Its property is located on Montevallo Road across from McElwain Baptist Church.
For the past 20 years, the nonprofit organization has shared and rented space as it has worked toward its mission to equip families of at risk preschool children with the skills necessary to achieve school readiness.
The 12,000-square-foot space will allow the organization to expand its programming by 60 percent to serve more families of rising Birmingham City Schools kindergarten students. It will also allow the program to be in the same location all week and provide a rainy day activity room, offices for all staff, an enlarged playground.
Preschool Partners is fundraising for a $2.6 million capital campaign for the building and expanded services.
