Eating dinner at Urban Cookhouse on Monday will support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
A group of Mountain Brook Junior High School students are organizing the fundraiser for Aug. 10 from 4-9 p.m. at the restaurant’s Crestline location, 212 Country Club Park.
The organizers are part of The Dream Team, a kickball team that will play in the MBJH Kick MS tournament on Aug. 16. George Davis and Jack Steinmetz are heading up the team, and its other members are Carl Albright, Andrew Collat, Mark Smith, Sarah Taylor, Grace Turner, Claire Kimberlin, and Eleanor Kerr.
The fourth annual kickball tournament is also a fundraiser for the Alabama-Mississippi Chapter of the National MS Society. Last year it raised more than $40,000.
“We chose to do this event because we wanted for people to get some great food in support of a great cause,” George Davis said.
