Jacob Carroll and Gene Bromberg combined for 420 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Mountain Brook Spartans to a 34-13 victory over the Hewitt Trussville Huskies.
The Spartans led 17-0 at the half, and never looked back as the Huskies never found answer for either Carroll or Bromberg.
Bromberg led off the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run, and ran for 127 yards. Carroll passed for a touchdown and 134 yards passing to go along with his 159 yards and a touchdown rushing.
Drew Odum hauled in a touchdown pass and Buddy Pell scored a rushing touchdown for the Spartans.
After a rocky start, the Mountain Brook team takes a winning record (4-3) into the final stretch of the season. Next week, the Spartans face the Huffman Vikings.
