The 67th annual Birmingham Camellia Show will take place at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, working around recent renovations.
The Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce will host its August Luncheon on Aug. 25 at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
The luncheon will feature guest speaker Natalie Davis, Ph.D., a Professor of Political Science at Birmingham-Southern College. According to her BSC online profile, Davis joined the faculty in 1972. Her fields of interest include comparative politics, specializing in Europe, Southern politics, and research methodology. Along with working as a professor, Davis also conducts political polls in Alabama and throughout the South. Per BSC, Davis is quoted regularly in publications such as The New York Times and Washington Post and has appeared on all of the national networks. Davis was also a candidate for the U.S. Senate in 1996.
Doors to the event will open at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Limited space is available. Tickets are on sale now to members for $25 and non-members for $30.
