A: At Crestline Pharmacy, it is our goal to offer exceptional customer service and serve the city of Mountain Brook. We have been serving this community since 1950 and have become known to the area for our local appeal, offering an independent pharmacy and a unique gift boutique.
Q: What type of services and/or products do you offer?
A: Customer service has always been instilled in our traditions here, and our customers have become a part of our Crestline Pharmacy family. We take pride in knowing each and every one of our customers, which adds value to our service. It is our honor to care for our customers in every way we can and offer curbside service, free delivery and medication consultations. In addition to our independent-style pharmacy, we have a gift shop that features beautiful gifts to meet a variety of occasions while extending our services with free wrapping and delivery options.
Q: What wants or problems does Crestline Pharmacy provide a solution to?
A: Being an independent pharmacy, Crestline Pharmacy has the ability to provide exceptional service compared to other chain store pharmacies. In addition to our exceptional customer service, we have a patient-centered focus, so it is easier to ask questions about prescriptions and get the answers you are looking for. Additionally, we provide shorter wait times, same day delivery and other professional services associated with pharmaceutical care, including health screenings and administer vaccinations.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Crestline Pharmacy has been serving the community for 70 years with new ownership within the last year.
Q: Please describe your educational and experiential background.
A: Pharmacist Matt Leach has served customers with Crestline Pharmacy for more than 15 years. He is a Homewood High School graduate who received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a doctorate of pharmacy before joining as a student intern in 2006.
Q: What is your benchmark for success?
A: Our benchmark of success at Crestline Pharmacy is having the confidence in knowing that our customers are treated with care, are a part of our family, and receive exceptional service.
Q: What is your approach or philosophy to customer service?
A: Our goal at Crestline Pharmacy is provide the utmost care to each of our customers in a timely manner. We strive to provide this exceptional care while treating you like an extension of our family.
Q: How is Crestline Pharmacy complying with COVID-19 safety measures?
A: We know that the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced our community greatly and acknowledge the severity of the situation. The Crestline Pharmacy staff follows a rigid protocol to ensure the safety of our customers and staff members. Our efforts include following a strict mask policy for those who are inside the store, markers for social distancing, curbside pickup and free delivery for those who do not want to leave their home or are immuno-compromised.
Q: We are approaching spring and the 1-year marker of COVID-19. What are your thoughts on the vaccine? How can we maintain continued safety amidst “pandemic fatigue”?
A: I am excited about the possibility of getting back to a “normal” way of life. If the vaccine is the answer to that, then I will do my best to educate myself and our patients and work to safely administer this vaccine to as many people as possible.
As far as pandemic fatigue, I believe that the guidelines set forth are necessary in order to protect not only the largest amount of people, but also the most vulnerable. This is such a critical time as we near access to a vaccine. It is important to practice self care in order to keep moving forward during these times. Take a walk when possible. Sunshine is our number one source for vitamin D, and that is an immune booster. We all need oxygen after wearing masks for so long.
Most importantly, human interaction is of utmost importance. It is easy to isolate within the confines of social distancing. Make an effort to connect with people as much as you can. And finally, stay positive — we’ll see brighter days ahead.

A: Crestline Pharmacy is open seven days a week, has a free delivery service and offers in-house charge accounts.
