As a Realtor, CPA and marketing professional, Heather Anthony has a skill set that is perfectly suited for helping homebuyers and sellers navigate real estate transactions. She leverages her more than 25 years of experience in business to help her clients whether they are looking to buy or sell a home.
Anthony’s years as an accountant gave her a passion for the finance side of real estate. “In my accounting career I specialized in the banking and real estate sectors. I enjoy helping my clients throughout the transaction, from types of mortgages and finance to contract negotiations and more.”
She’s also well-versed in marketing, having spent several years working with various businesses toward a common goal — return on investment. “I worked with a lot of Realtors and brokers on their marketing plans. My favorite part of marketing is strategy. You have to have a plan, follow it through, monitor results and make adjustments as needed. Marketing is a critical component of real estate, and the digital age has changed all of the rules.
“In this age, clients want someone to represent them who has an exceptional level of business acumen, and my long career in business has prepared me for that,” she continued. “Beyond showing, staging and marketing houses, I keep in mind that buying and selling a home is ultimately a business transaction. A very expensive one, so every detail has to be covered.”
A lifetime resident of Mountain Brook, Anthony cares deeply about the community. “My husband and I have raised our three children here with great schools and the friendliest neighbors. We’ve renovated our house twice, because we couldn’t imagine leaving. We love our community.”
Anthony enjoys being an “ambassador” of Birmingham as a performer with the nonprofit group Magic City Disco. She’s also active with the Birmingham Business Alliance.
Her familiarity with the greater Birmingham area allows her to find the ideal neighborhood and community for her clients. From budding families in need of wonderful schools and playgrounds to empty-nesters searching for a downsized home, Anthony helps clients in all stages of life.
But perhaps the number one value that Anthony provides her clients is unparalleled customer service and dedication.
“I develop long lasting relationships with my clients. I keep in touch with my clients — I want to be their real estate resource even after the sale.”
According to Anthony, one of the best things about working at Ray & Poynor Properties is the camaraderie amongst the agents. Clients not only have access to Anthony and her skills, but also the support and expertise of the rest of the Ray & Poynor team.
“We all work together to get our listings sold for the best price in the shortest amount of time,” she said.
At the end of the day, Anthony is grateful to have found a career that suits her skill set and love of working with people. “This career has allowed me to utilize my vast professional experience while also giving me an opportunity to help others. I love making people happy and helping them live their dreams.”
