License plate, phone thefts reported

Three thefts occurred in Mountain Brook over the past week, according to the police department.

Construction materials were stolen from a job site in the 3700 block of Mountain Brook Circle on April 26 or 27, and on April 25 a license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 2800 block of Petticoat Lane. In the third instance, a phone was stolen from a purse in the 3100 block of Cahaba Village Plaza on April 25.

Also this week, a suspect broke into the windowpane of a residents in the 3900 block of Montclair Road and unlocked a door, but no items were reported missing.
