A Mountain Brook man died by suicide at the Vestavia Country Club golf course on Monday.
Vestavia Hills police responded to the golf course following a call from the man's family. They requested police perform a welfare check and said he was at the golf course. He was pronounced dead at the scene Monday around 4:11 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner.
There were no signs of foul play, and the incident is still being investigated by Vestavia Hills PD.
"[The cause is] still undetermined, but at the time it is believed it would be a suicide," said Deputy Coroner Bill Yates.
