A Mountain Brook resident died this weekend from injuries sustained in an apparent accident.
On Sunday, July 24 at approximately 8:37 p.m., Mountain Brook Fire and Police Department personnel arrived at the 200 block of Richmar Drive in response to a medical emergency. Upon arrival, according to a Mountain Brook Police Department news release, officers found an individual suffering from multiple serious lacerations. Officers also encountered a large broken window.
The individual was transported to UAB Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m.
Investigators with the Mountain Brook Police Department are currently conducting a death investigation. At this point, according to the release, there is no indication of foul play.
