April will be a busy month for All In Mountain Brook. Among its planned events, parents can look forward to a tobacco/e-cigs program and lessons on safety.
Event details, as described on the All in website, are as follows:
What: All In Mountain Brook will host two programs on the health implications of tobacco, e-cigarettes and vaping Monday, April 18 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
When/Where: A morning session will begin at 9 a.m. and an evening session at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested. To reserve your seat, visit www.allinmountainbrook.org. St. Luke’s is located at 3737 Montrose Road.
What: Personal Safety and Situational Awareness with Officer Jon Newland
When/Where: Tuesdays: April 19, 26, and May 3. 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Mountain Brook High School.
ALL IN MOUNTAIN BROOK has asked Officer Jon Newland to provide sessions of situational awareness and personal safety. These sessions are appropriate for students in junior high and high school, but parents and community members are welcome. We will hold these sessions at Mountain Brook High School. It is not required that participants come to all sessions. The first session will be primarily a classroom discussion and the additional sessions will involve some “hands on” practice.
