On Friday, April 29, from 6:30-10:30pm, the Birmingham Zoo’s Junior Board will host its sixth annual fundraising event, Tails in the Trails, presented by Harbert Management Corporation and Merrill Lynch.
Attendees will enjoy live music by Gentleman Zero, food by Happy Catering Company, animal encounters, a silent auction and a cash bar sponsored by Trim Tab Brewing Company. Tickets are $20 online until April 28 and $25 at the door on the day of the event. Tails in the Trails will be an evening full of entertainment in the Junior League of Birmingham – Hugh Kaul Children’s Zoo.
This event is for ages 21 and up only. Animal exhibits will be closed during Tails in the Trails. Attire is casual.
New this year, Nova, the golden eagle of Auburn Southeastern Raptor Center, will be at the event from 6:30-8:30pm. Guests will be able to have photographs taken with Nova during the event.
The Birmingham Zoo’s Junior Board strives to increase Zoo membership, assist with events and provide promotion of the Zoo’s overall mission, “Inspiring Passion for the Natural World.” Guests will have the opportunity to adopt Attila or Phoenix, the Zoo’s golden eagles. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the new golden eagle exhibit coming to the Birmingham Zoo.
