Emmet O’Neal Library will be in a galaxy far, far way this week in celebration of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” movie release set for Friday, Dec. 18. Almost all of the children’s events at the library will have a Star Wars theme this week and will cater to fans from 12-months-old to sixth graders.
A schedule of this week’s events, available on Emmet O’Neal’s online calendar, is as follows:
Tuesday, Dec. 15
Together Time: “Yoda Says,” 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
Library Out Loud: Jedi Training, 3:30-4:15 p.m., kindergarten-2nd grade
Evenings @EOL: Craft Wars, 6 p.m., all ages
Wednesday, Dec. 16
Mother Goose Story Time: Stars and Wookies, 9:30 or 10:30 a.m., 12-24 months, register online
Movers and Makers: Learn the Force with Luke and Leia, 1:30 p.m., 3-5 years, register online
Thursday, Dec. 17
SNAP: May the Force Be With You, 3:30-4:30, grades 3-6
Bookmania: “Star Wars,” 6-7 p.m., grades 4-6
