The Mountain Brook Spartans (2-3, 2-1 Class 7A, Region 3) will try to rebound from a last-second loss to James Clemons when they host Tuscaloosa County Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans and the Wildcats (3-2, 2-1) are locked up with Oak Mountain for second place in the region behind Hoover, so this is a crucial region game as the teams move into the second half of the season.
