The Crestline Tent sale brought in shoppers into the village on Saturday, Aug. 22.

Stores set up tents along Church Street, opening up with sale items under the tents and in their stores. The Crestline Tent sale started three years ago and is modeled after Market Day.

"We've had a lot of traffic in the store," said Wendy, an employee at Lamb's Ears. "We always ask them if they're from the area ... or what brought them to the store."

The sale started at 8 a.m. and was set to continue until 5 p.m. A summer rain storm came through around noon, leading vendors to carry items off the street and back into their stores. Some shoppers also ventured indoors, while others did their best to travel between stores in the downpour.
