Mountain Brook Village to celebrate Spring Soirée

Mountain Brook Village will welcome warmer days this week with its Spring Soirée, Thursday, March 17 from 4-8 p.m.

The entire village will transform into a spring wonderland at the same time Thursday, as each store will take down the green paper covering its storefront to reveal brand new, spring-inspired window displays.

“We’re excited about the transformation for the entire village,” said one of this year’s participants, Ex Voto Vintage owner and designer Elizabeth Adams.

The shop-hop event, sponsored by the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce, will feature tent sales, wine tastings, trunk shows, giveaways, door prizes and more.

A portion of from the night’s sales will benefit Mitchell's Place, charged with providing “comprehensive, research-based, educational, social and therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities,” according to its mission statement.

Last year’s event drew some 300 shoppers, said Adams.

“We’d like to see even more people stop by this year,” she said.
