When Western Supermarket moves to its new Lane Parke location, the grocery store is bringing a coffee shop with it.

Randy Adamy, the owner of Homewood-based O'Henry's Coffee, said the coffee chain will open an in-store location at the Western in October. O'Henry's currently has two locations in Homewood, one in Highland Park and one in the downtown Regions building. Adamy said a Tuscaloosa location is set to open in August or September.

Adamy said Western Supermarket already carries O'Henry's products, and the owners approached him about the in-store location.

“We’re in the Western Supermarkets with our product already and they’re just our kind of people," Adamy said. “I think they’re being forward-thinking.”

The Western O'Henry's will operate roughly the same hours as the rest of the store, though Adamy said it could potentially open earlier to accommodate morning coffee stops. He said the in-store shop will be similar to an airport kiosk in size, with some seating as well. Adamy said the focus will be on O'Henry's beverages, as the small size will limit their ability to serve food.

In addition to its physical locations, O'Henry's also roasts coffee beans to serve or sell in around 70 other businesses. To learn more, visit ohenryscoffees.com.
