Whole Foods at Cahaba Village unveiled recent renovations at a grand reopening this week.

The store now features new signage and seating as well as a remodeled kids area in the café.

While most changes are cosmetic, there is also a new station to fill growlers with a choice of 12 beers on tap. The selection will rotate but will also feature local breweries. The station is located near the wine, cheese and beer in the back right area of the store.

“There have been some changes to layout of seafood department and bakery [since we opened], but for the most part this sit he first time we have had a facelift,” said April Moate, the store’s Whole Body Team Leader who first started working there when it opened in 2007.

The store has plans to open a sandwich and burrito venue and a new pasta case in the future in addition to the current changes.

Whole Foods is also opening a second store in Riverchase Village Hoover that is now under construction.
