Art festival announces winners

The Mountain Brook Art Association has announced its winners from Saturday’s Spring Art Festival in Crestline.

The event had around 2,000 attendees, which is about half of its normal size. Organizers attribute the drop to weather conditions that day.

Amy Crews won best in show at a professional level, while Lynn Briggs won it at the semi-professional level. Erin Adrian received the emerging artist/hobbiest level best in show award, and Anita Bice, Pat Carroll, Sam Collins, Melanie Morris, Amy Peterson and Robin Miller received awards of distinction. Janet Sanders was the Nortons Florist Competition winner.

The association holds the art event every April. This year it was postponed due to rain.
