Zoo welcomes new baby monkey

Area residents can now see the Birmingham Zoo's baby De Brazza’s monke.

Guests are invited to visit the Primate Building for the chance to see the new De Brazza’s monkey with its family during Zoo Fun Days on Aug. 8 and 9.

A $5 admission, $1 hot dogs and special activities will be featured on these days. On Saturday, Aug. 1 visitors will be able to enjoy two concerts by Birmingham’s Roger Day, at the Zoo’s Wildlife Stage at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
