Birmingham Bill predicts 6 more weeks of winter

Birmingham Bill, the resident groundhog at the Birmingham Zoo, predicted six more weeks of winter during a wildlife program held before a filled-to-capacity crowd inside the auditorium.

Kelly Garrison introduced several animals that are part of an educational program for the zoo. Garrison explained that since Bill took last year's Groundhog Day off because he took a little trip and learned about animals from around the globe.

After the program, families lined up for pictures with Bill as he hopped onto a tree stump and posed for pictures.
