Two weeks remain until the city council considers ordinances that would allow a new Piggly Wiggly to be built in Crestline Village. The council announced at its Nov. 10 meeting that it will hold a public hearing to consider rezoning parcels along Vine Street for the proposed development. The hearing will be held Monday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. at City Hall in Crestline Village.

The council chambers were filled to capacity, overfilling its 120 seats, when the rezoning came before the planning commission on Nov. 3. The commission approved the plans 4-3 after a controversial discussion. [Click to see a full report from the planning commission meeting.]
