City observing Veteran's Day

In observance of Veteran's Day tomorrow, parts of the city of Mountain Brook will be closed. 

Various city buildings, including City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce, Public Works Department and Parks and Recreation Department, in addition to Jefferson County and state offices, will be closed for the day. All city schools and the Emmet O'Neal Library will also be closed. 

Garbage and leaf services will still be in action, and in case of any emergencies the police and fire departments will be on duty. Shoppers are suggested to check with local businesses on whether or not they will be open for the holiday.
