Grand opening scheduled for Cahaba River Walk

The new Cahaba River Walk, previously known as Cahaba River Park, will have a grand opening on April 10 at 4 p.m.

The City Council discussed plans for the opening at its March 23 meeting.

City officials will be on hand for a ribbon cutting. The event will be open to the public and refreshments will be served.

The 4.7-acre property is located at Overton Road and River Run Road. The city hopes to work with businesses on River Run Road to allow parking for the event.
