Half price Zoo admission on MLK Day

The Birmingham Zoo invites the community to give back to those in need on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

All visitors can enjoy half price admission Monday, Jan. 21 by donating a non-perishable food item to the Zoo in support of the United Way Canned Food Drive.

Guests who donate a food item can enjoy the Zoo for only $7 (plus tax) for adults, $4.50 (plus tax) for senior citizens 65 years and older, and $4.50 (plus tax) for children 2 – 12 years old. Children under 2 years old are free.

The Zoo requests that guests bring one item per person to receive the discount.

Visitors can experience all the Zoo has to offer, such as exploring the Kiwanis Giraffe Encounter and feeding the giraffes, watching a sea lion training demonstration, enjoying a Children’s Zoo keeper chat, and participating in a pelican feeding.
