July 4 to affect city hours, services

While Mountain Brook families are enjoying barbecues and fireworks for Independence Day, most city government services will also take the day off.

City Hall will be closed all day, reopening on Tuesday, July 5. There will be no garbage pickup on July 4, either. Visit mtnbrook.org or call 802-2400 for more information.

Emmet O'Neal Library will be closed July 2-4, also reopening on July 5. The library's summer hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Visit eolib.org or call 879-0459 for more details.
