Two Mountain Brook Junior High students are teaming up with Saw’s Juke Joint this month to help “cook out cancer.” George Davis and Jack Steinmetz, both ninth-grade students at MBJH, have partnered with the BBQ restaurant for a Saw’s Family Dinner fundraiser benefitting Relay for Life.

From now until Feb. 19, BBQ fans can order 24 ounces of pork with red sauce or chicken with white sauce, one pint of coleslaw, one pint of potato salad and six buns for $45. Proceeds from the sale will go toward Davis and Steinmetz’s “Cook Out Cancer” Relay team.

Davis said the team hopes to raise $4,000 with the fundraiser.

Those interested in donating are asked to email cookoutcancer@gmail.com.
