Mountain Brook Parkway closing temporarily

On Thursday, Feb. 23, Mountain Brook Parkway will be closed between Cahaba Road and Overhill Road form 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. while the city's contractor delivers and installs the new pedestrian bridge over Watkins Branch. Watkins Branch Trail will be closed during this time as well.

Detours will be set up for drivers to avoid the closed portion of the road.
