Mountain Brook police report two car break-ins, weekend robbery

Mountain Brook Police Department reported two car break-ins in the July 9 community update. Both break-ins occurred between July 7 and July 8, and both cars were unlocked.

An unknown suspect or suspects entered a car in the 2900 block of Overhill Road and stole sunglasses and a tennis racket. Another car was entered in the 2900 block of Canterbury Road, where an unknown suspect or suspects stole money.

Police also reported robbery at the Western Supermarket in Mountain Brook Village over the holiday weekend. The suspect entered the store July 5 around 6 a.m. and put a robbery note on the counter. The suspect was wearing a tan hat, sunglasses and latex gloves.
