Old Leeds Road to reopen today

Old Leeds Road between Beechwood Road and Old Leeds Lane, which has been closed since Monday, Oct. 14, will reopen at the end of Friday, Oct. 17 according to a release from the City of Mountain Brook.

The City announced Wednesdy that the closure was extended to Friday afternoon due to testing required by Jefferson County’s Environmental Services Department.

The closure will allow the completion of sewer work at the bridge over Shades Creek. The work is being completed in conjunction with the Phase 6 sidewalk project in this area.

Old Leeds Road will reopen to through traffic on Friday evening, Oct. 18.
