Police arrest two with outstanding warrants, both found in possession of drugs

Mountain Brook police arrested a woman reportedly found in possession of multiple identifies and drugs, according to the Feb. 18 community update.

Police responded to a disturbance call in the 2800 block of Fairway Drive on Feb. 16, and one of the individuals involved had an outstanding warrant. She was arrested, and police reported she was in possession of multiple identities, meth, drug paraphernalia and prescription drugs.

Police report the suspect was connected to a case of identity theft also from Feb. 16. A victim in the 2800 block of Fairway Drive reported her credit cards had been used at multiple locations without her permission on that day.

Also in the community update, police reported a second individual was wanted for questioning in connection to the Feb. 16 identity theft report. Police contacted the subject on Feb. 17 in the 2800 block of Fairway Drive. The man was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant, according to police, and upon arrest he was found to be in the possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Police also reported multiple property thefts in the community update. Thefts included clothing, a watch and jewelry being shoplifted from Brookwood Village, tools being stolen from an open garage on Kingshill Road, a wallet being stolen after it was left at a business on Overton Road and checks and an alarm remote being stolen from Fairway Drive.

Another instance of theft was reported when an employee at Brookwood Village discounted multiple items without permission. The incident occurred between Feb. 11 and Feb. 14.

Other thefts were reported during car break-ins of unlocked cars. Victims reported a sweater was stolen from a car between Feb. 10 and Feb. 11, a vehicle title was stolen on Feb. 13 and an Alabama license plate was stolen from the backset of a car between Dec. 24 and Feb. 15.

Police also reported a car window was broken by what appeared to be a BB or pellet gun on Feb. 15, and an individual reported multiple accounts were opened in their name without permission between March 1, 2015 and Jan. 21.
