Police report three thefts in community update

Mountain Brook Police reported three thefts in this week’s community update.

On Aug. 22, an unknown suspect or suspects stole a wallet and credit cards from a business. Another theft also occurred on Aug. 22 in the 3100 block of Cahaba Village Plaza. An unknown suspect or suspects stole a wallet and credit cards from a shopping cart.

A theft was also reported in the 3400 block of Bethune Drive. Between June 1 and Aug. 15, jewelry was stolen from a residence.

Police also reported an instance of criminal mischief, where an air conditioning unit was damaged in the 3500 block of Victoria Road.

On Aug. 19 around 2:50 p.m., a victim reported that a blue van struck her parked vehicle and left the scene. The blue van was reportedly driven by a white female.

In the community update, MBPD also reported the arrest of Timothy Brian Williams in relation to several area car break-ins.
