Sacred music festival returns

The sixth annual Over the Mountain Festival of Sacred Music will take place Sunday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. at Mountain Brook Baptist Church.

All are invited to attend this free concert, titled “Sing Alleluia.” Last year the event welcomed a chorus of more than 70 singers from 30 different choirs and choral groups around Birmingham as well as other cities in the Southeast.

This season’s guest clinician is Dr. Terre Johnson, minister of music at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. Members of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra will accompany the festival.
