The Tot Lot in Crestline has new mulching and a new fence thanks to the Leadership Mountain Brook class.

A group of Mountain Brook High School students from the class organized the playground improvements as a part of their service project for the class. The group laid pine straw and mulch and painted a new fence. Part of the new fence was donated by Good Fences, a new chamber member, at the request of the students.

The city helped demolish the old fence.

For the final steps of the project, the students enlisted the help of the fourth through sixth-grade students participating in Little Leader Day on Sunday, April 26. Another Leadership Mountain Brook class organized the day to teach younger students about the inner workings of the city and to put into practice serving the city. The whole group finished laying mulch together before a ribbon cutting at the playground at the conclusion of the event.

The Leadership Mountain Brook class is led by Amber Benson of MBHS and Hannon Davidson of the chamber.
