Symphony 30 Presents Check to Alabama Symphony Orchestra

Symphony 30 members Morgan Cook and Tracy Sproule, along with Jim ‘N Nicks Bar-B-Q and Brookwood Medical Center, presented a $30,000 check to the Alabama Symphony Orchestra (ASO). ASO’s Executive Director Curt Long received the check at January’s Bela Fleck concert.

The funds were raised through fundraising efforts, including the group’s annual Picnic Supper held at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The annual event is open to families and boasts a Jim ‘N Nick’s picnic supper and entertainment from the orchestra.

The Symphony 30 Group is a group of young women who promote the legacy and future of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. To date, the volunteer group has raised over $350,000 for educational programs at the Alabama Symphony.
