Merchants in Mountain Brook Village hung British flags to welcome royalty coming to town on April 28.

On Saturday Prince Edward, the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Andrew, visited in Birmingham to raise money for the Miss America Pageant.

The Prince attended a tea at Mountain Brook residents Laura and Colby Cark’s home in the afternoon and a dinner party in the evening at The Club.

Nan Teninbaum, president and CEO of the Miss Alabama Pageant and employee at Christine's, is in charge of his visit. Paige Albright of Alrbight Orientals coordinated the merchants in the Village to hang the flags.
