Zoo hosting early release and book signing

Birmingham Zoo is inviting the community to an early release and book signing event on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The event if for A Naturalist Goes Fishing by James McClintock. McClintock is an endowed university professor of polar and marine biology at UAB and has published more than 235 scientific publications.

“We are excited to have James here to present on his new book at the Birmingham Zoo,” said William Foster, Birmingham Zoo President and CEO. “We are thankful for individuals like James who are exemplifying the Zoo’s mission of inspiring passion for the natural world.”

McClintock will present on his book around 6:30 p.m., and there will be complimentary hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine to follow. Books will also be available for purchase.
