Pokémon have been spotted on site at the Birmingham Zoo. With many areas of the Birmingham Zoo being part of the new Pokémon Go app, visitors have been seen catching Pikachu and friends throughout the park, battling in the two gyms within the Zoo and visiting over 25 Pokéstops.

Due to the game’s popularity on the grounds, the Birmingham Zoo invites the community to join in on the excitement of the Pokémon Go game by offering half-price admission to all guests who show the downloaded app on their phone now through August 7. In addition, guests will be able to visit special daily lures placed by the Birmingham Zoo that will help them advance in the game.

The Birmingham Zoo reminds Pokémon Go users to stay on the marked pathways and respect all warning signs throughout the 122-acre site that are in place to protect visitors and the wildlife in the zoo’s care. Although users might see Magikarp in the zoo’s alligator exhibit, Rhyhorn with the rhinoceros, or Bulbasaur in with the Komodo Dragon, visitors will have to “catch ‘em all” while staying beyond zoo barriers for the safety of the animals and guests.

The half-price offer cannot be combined with other zoo promotional offers. Only one discount per one downloaded app presented.
