Help the Birmingham Zoo design its ‘Dino Discovery’ Stegosaurus

The Birmingham Zoo is turning to its youthful public this month asking it to help design a Stegosaurus to be featured in the “Dino Discovery – They’re Back” exhibit opening in march.

From now until 3 p.m. Jan. 22 students in kindergarten through sixth grade are asked to submit a completed Stegosaurus Coloring Sheet either by mail or at the Zoo’s Membership Office. Entries must be postmarked by Jan. 22 to be considered.

On Feb. 5, the Zoo will announce the student winner. The winning design will be transformed into a life-size Stegosaurus, which will be displayed along with 11 other dinosaurs in the exhibit. The winning artist will also receive a complimentary family pack of tickets to the Birmingham Zoo, a plaque and a photo opportunity with their Stegosaurus.
