Three local girls, Tess Levine, Mary Cate Cone and Clark Stewart, joined a talented cast of Young Actors at Birmingham Children's Theatre this past weekend with its rendition of Dear Edwina, Jr. The girls are all students in the Mountain Brook school system - Cone is a student at Mountain Brook Elementary, Stewart is a student at Crestline Elementary and Levine is a student at Mountain Brook Junior High. The show ran Friday, April 29 – Sunday, May 1.

Dear Edwina Jr. is a musical about growing up, from the creators of Junie B. Jones, The Musical. According to a news release about the production, Dear Edwina Jr. follows the adventures of plucky advice-giver-extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the neighborhood kids in a series of musical numbers for the latest edition of her weekly "Advice-a-Palooza.” Edwina and her friends share wisdom in song on everything from trying new foods to making new friends.

In this latest production, Levine played Edwina Spoonapple, Cone played Katie Spoonapple and Stewart played Kelli, Lola, and Fairy Forkmother.
