Wanted: barbecue battle competitors

Barbecue masters are wanted to participate in an upcoming Big Bad BBQ Battle. Organizers are looking for 10-20 competitors to showcase their home barbecue recipes to win a trophy, $500 and bragging rights for the barbecue BBQ in Mountain Brook. All funds raised at the event will support Relay For Life at Mountain Brook High School.

The event will be held Nov. 1 in Crestline Village, and the deadline to sign up to compete is Oct. 1.
