Brookwood Forest Elementary held its second annual Grand Day on Oct. 19. More than 650 grandparents and other “Ranger Pals” from the community visited the school for the event.

The morning, focused around the idea of BWF as “family,” provided an opportunity for extended family and community members to learn more about life at the school. The students showed visitors their classrooms, special subjects and several communal spots throughout the school.

In addition to seeing the school and learning about the students’ work, guests were encouraged to get a commemorative picture with their Ranger. The event was a reminder of the power of relationships in supporting students as they grow. Samantha Ebert and Wendy Sanders co- chaired this event.
