Bringing history to life

Every year the entire Cherokee Bend community looks forward to seeing the second-graders bring history to life.

Recently, each second-grader completed a project-based learning study on famous people. The study included reading a variety of genres, Internet research, publishing a piece of writing, and creating and decorating a model and a technology presentation about a famous person. The students used available technology resources to present their learning in a digital format. 

To culminate the study, the students had fun dressing in costume to portray their subjects in a musical performance.
