Cherokee Bend enjoys new playground for school

Cherokee Bend Elementary celebrated the renovation of their playground with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Oct. 17.  

Many parents, city and state officials, school board members, Boosterthon representatives and the entire school population joined together to mark the official opening of the playground. 

Popsicles were enjoyed by all thanks to a generous donation from Mayfield Ice Cream.

Money for the playground was raised from parent donations, city and state funds, and other contributors. Construction began in June and continued throughout the summer.
