Cherokee Bend welcomes new assistant principal

Cherokee Bend Elementary principal Betsy Bell welcomed new assistant principal Jennifer Galloway this school year. Galloway comes to Mountain Brook from the Oak Mountain area, where she served as assistant principal of Oak Mountain Elementary School for four years. She brings to Cherokee Bend more than 16 years of experience teaching elementary education.

Galloway attended Auburn University and the University of Montevallo. She began her career teaching third grade at Oak Mountain Elementary School for five years. She later taught first grade and reading recovery at Calera Elementary and second then first grade at Inverness Elementary. While at Inverness, Galloway received her National Board Certification. She has been married for 17 years and has two daughters.
