Crestline Cougar Student Council trains for year of service

by

The Crestline Cougar Student Council recently participated in Camp Cougar in preparation to serve as leaders and engaging speakers in the school.

The Student Council is made up of fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders who went through an application and interview process to be selected for their position.

The training, led by Bill Garner and Bonnie Lorino, consisted of a team building game, motivational video clips, and discussion to help students recognize qualities of good speakers and effective leadership skills.

Members of the student council will visit all of the homeroom classes once a month to speak about community service projects and Crestline Cougars High Five, Crestline’s campaign to promote good character.
