Dale Wisely to host talk on ‘(Mis)Understanding the Teenage Brain’

Mountain Brook’s Director of Student Services, Dale Wisely, Ph.D., will lead a "(Mis)Understanding the Teenage Brain” talk on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at the Board of Education Building.

The event, co-sponsored by ALL IN MOUNTAIN BROOK and Mountain Brook Schools, will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. In an email to parents, Wisely said the talk will focus on exploring the development of brains through maturity in the late-to-mid 20s.

“While it does have implications for understanding teenagers,” wrote Wisely in his email, “this information has been misunderstood in ways that are unfair to teenagers and add to the anxiety many of us have about our teenagers. We will try to sort out the truth from the myths.”

The Mountain Brook Board of Education Building is located at 32 Vine Street in Crestline Village.
