Brookie invasion at MBHS

by

For four nights in February, the Mountain Brook High School Fine Arts Center was transported back to the height of the British rock and roll invasion.

Choir Director John Kinkaid and guest choreographer Todd Underwood shepherded 230 members of the Mountain Brook High School choirs as they performed a medley of songs from artists such The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Queen and The Kinks. Vibrant backdrops and colorful period costumes added to the magic of the performances. Especially moving was Zachary and Savannah Smith’s rendition of Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s “The Prayer,” which brought audiences to their feet.
