Leadership Mountain Brook welcomes 2016-17 class

The newest Leadership Mountain Brook class enjoyed a “new member” breakfast this month.

This year’s class is made of 19 students and includes Mary Louise Howland, Virginia Winn, Gracie Carmichael, Madison Gaston, Lily Rucker, Isabella DeGaris, Sarah Hydinger, Sarah Gladney, Will Bundy, Peter Reis, Matthew Bullock, Emily Ferguson, Jennings Briley, Caroline Goings, Kendall Alby, Fredda Cardwell, Lane Berry, Mary Frances Bloodworth and Jonathan Jones.

Leadership Mountain Brook is a one-credit course held over two semesters which is designed to provide students with organization, development, presentation and creative skills. The group comes up with a project proposal based on the needs of the Mountain Brook community and develops that project.

Leadership Mountain Brook is a partnership between Mountain Brook High School, the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce and the City of Mountain Brook.
