MBHS celebrating 50 years of Spartans during homecoming week

The Spartans have a reason to celebrate this homecoming. In addition to their upcoming playoff run, Mountain Brook High School is also celebrating its 50 year anniversary.

The school was founded in 1966, and on Friday, Oct. 21, MBHS has several events leading up to the homecoming game, including an exhibit “illustrating all that is Mountain Brook High School.” The exhibit opens Friday from 1-2:30 p.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m. and will feature 50 years of school memorabilia.

The itinerary for activities throughout the day includes:

9:50-10:50 a.m.: Student Pep Rally in Spartan Arena

1-2:30 p.m.: 50-Year Exhibit opens

2:30 p.m.: Homecoming parade in Crestline Village

5-6:30 p.m.: 50-Year Exhibit open

6:30 p.m.: Presentation of senior football players

6:45 p.m.: Alumni band pregame performance

7 p.m.: Kickoff for Homecoming game – Mountain Brook v. Huffman

Halftime: Homecoming court presentation
