MBJH honors teacher of the year

Jennifer Nelson, a seventh-grade English teacher, was chosen as the Mountain Brook Junior High School Teacher of the Year. 

A graduate of Hoover High School, The University of Alabama and UAB, she is in her second year of teaching at MBJH. The dynamo was chosen for her overall impact on the school. 

 “Mrs. Nelson teaches her classes with a variety of innovation and creativity,” principal Donald Clayton said. “She is a leader among the teachers and a real example of quality teaching. We are lucky to have her at MBJH.”

Nelson’s honor was announced during the January Parent Teacher Organization meeting.
